Common questions about SaveTheSnack
How do I add food to my kitchen?+
Open the Kitchen section in the SaveTheSnack app and select Add item. Enter the product name, quantity and expiry date, then save it to your kitchen.
How does SaveTheSnack know when food is expiring?+
SaveTheSnack uses the expiry or best-before date entered for each item. The app highlights products that should be used soon and can send reminders when notifications are enabled.
Can I use SaveTheSnack with my household?+
You can create and share shopping lists with other users. Additional household-sharing features may become available as SaveTheSnack continues to grow.
What happens when I discard only part of an item?+
You can record the percentage that was discarded. The remaining quantity stays available in your kitchen, helping your statistics reflect the amount that was actually wasted.
Can I import recipes from websites?+
SaveTheSnack can support recipes from external sources where the import feature is available. Imported recipes retain their original source so you can view where the recipe came from.
How do I delete my account?+
You can request account deletion from the account settings inside the app. You may also contact our support team from the email address associated with your account.
